We feel so lucky to call Maine home as we are totally obsessed with it! Maine is where the majority of our adventures are and there are some great kid friendly spots for your next day trip or weekend adventure!

Since we live in southern Maine, we are very close to the New Hampshire seacoast. I obviously love the ocean and there are some great spots in New Hampshire you have to check out with kids!

About me

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a mom to 3 young boys who’s names all begin with ‘Be’ which is where My Maine Bees comes from! I know that going places you are not familiar with, especially with young kids, can be so daunting. You never know what could happen! There have been MANY times I’ve gone places and been unprepared and it instantly feels overwhelming! As you click around the blog, please don’t ever think my trips are perfect, there have been plenty of difficult times exploring with my kids. It does not stop me and it shouldn’t stop you either!

So click around the blog and find somewhere to go and get out there! It will be hard but it will get easier and I hope my recommendations help a little! Please let me know if I’m missing anything about a specific location. Some trips are only an hour long, so I’m sure there’s more to love or hate about certain spots. Also feel free to reach out if there’s anywhere you have thought about going but aren’t sure of or any of your favorite spots to go with kids. We love finding new places and we are always down to explore!
