Bayview Beach, Saco, Maine
Bayview Beach is located along the shores between Old Orchard Beach and Ferry Beach State Park. It is a large, flat open beach with no rocks to climb on, so we weren’t there to long. We actually visited this beach in the winter and we made a snowman on the beach!
parking
There is a small lot that fits about 15 cars, which is plenty in the winter, but also has two small lots across the street. The small lot is free from October 1st- the day before Memorial Day and does not require a parking pass or permit. From Memorial Day to September 30th you have to print off a parking permit prior to arriving. Day passes for out of town residents are $25 and they offer seasonal passes as well for $150. It definitely makes more sense to visit this beach if you are a resident as the parking permit is $25 for the season!
Alternative if you can’t get parking
Last summer we attempted to visit this beach in the summer. I did not look up the parking passes ahead of time and I clearly didn’t leave early enough either. When we drove by the parking lots around 11am they were all completely full! (And I don’t like to drive around to try and find parking with 3 kids in the car!) I quickly looked up another spot to check out and we ended up going just minutes away to Ferry Beach State Park. Check out my post on Ferry Beach because there was plenty of easy parking and it was more affordable as it is is a state park! Below is the link to Ferry Beach State Park.
