Sacred Nectar Sanctuary, North Sandwich, New Hampshire
This tops the list as One of our favorite Hipcamp sites
We LOVED this site and might return every year. It is located in NH and borders the White Mountains. It is about an hour south of Loon Mountain and about 30 minutes to Squam Lake. The views here are 10/10 and the amount of room for kids to spread out is AH-mazing. The kids were running around everywhere and you can’t see another tent or person nearby which means I didn’t have to stress about them being quiet. I LOVE that about camping. This place is called Sacred Nectar Sanctuary on Hipcamp and it has 7 sites. Click below for the link and definitely check this place out!
Amenities
Dogs are allowed and our dog had a great time running around off leash! There is an outhouse within a close walk to the site. There are also trash bins available and showers available near the check in. To get to most of the sites it is up a pretty steep hill and 4WD is recommended but not necessary.
Why you should go and what you should do
If you’ve read the above 2 paragraphs and still haven’t already decided you are going to book here then let me tell you that we have never been so sad to leave a campsite before. Our kids were begging us to stay longer and we really wished we could have. We could only stay one night, as it was the fall and we had to get back for school and work on Monday. When we left here we drove north to Loon Mountain to do the gondola ride for all the prime leaf peeping views. It did not disappoint! Even the drive to Loon was gorgeous, with views along Squam Lake and adorable little NH towns.
