Seacoast Science Center

Seacoast Science Center, Rye, New Hampshire

Honestly, I love the Seacoast Science Center more than I love the aquarium in Boston, don’t hate me. Parking is so easy here. There is a lot just outside the Seacoast Science Center entrance. The indoor area itself is small but perfect and SO manageable with kids! I also love that there are hardly any crowds and I don’t feel overwhelmed visiting here.

My husband and I got married at the Seacoast Science Center, so I might be biased, but I’ve brought my kids many times and they love it too. There’s a touch tank for them to feel the starfish right next to a fun area that looks like a fisherman’s boat and market for them to play pretend. I love that there are plenty of tanks with fish, lobsters, seahorses and jellyfish that are right at kid height so you don’t have to lift them up to see! There’s also an area with sand for kids to play with, an area to learn about the ocean and an area for them to learn how things travel through the water.

Once you are done playing inside head outside to have a picnic on one of the many picnic tables! Or you can head over to playground near the parking lot since you are in Odiorne Point State Park. Check out my blog post on Odiorne below!

No Need for a Stroller

When you check in there is an area to leave bags and strollers. It’s a little small so I would recommend not even bringing a stroller. In my opinion, I don’t think you need a stroller for the Seacoast Science Center. It is small enough that the kids can explore without their legs getting so tired you’d have to carry them.

I can’t possibly explain all there is to do at Seacoast Science Center in this post! I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how easy it is with little kids and how much they will love it! Be sure to check out the Seacoast Science Center website for more.
