Timber Point Trail

timber point trail with kids

Timber Point Trail, Biddeford, Maine

This is a quick walk, perfect for an off season day during the week! I say that because parking is very limited here, but if you get parking, the beach is beautiful and it is so calm and quiet!

Parking

There are only about 6 parking spots for cars at Timber Point Trail and there is not any street parking here. It makes this a little bit of a risky place to visit with kids (if you’ve ever driven around trying to find parking with kids in the car then you know what I mean). I usually like to go places with guaranteed parking because I hate the chance that we might not be able to get to do the activity. That is why this is a great place to visit in the off season! When we went on a Tuesday morning in the late fall, there was only one other car there.

Beach

The beach here has beautiful white sand. The waves were very minimal and it was so quiet. We loved it! The kids obviously got wet but the beach was very close to the car so it was easy to get back and get dry!

Stroller and wagon friendly

The walk is about 2 miles to the end and back but we turned around halfway. It is all wagon friendly, we love our Veer Wagon! I would say this walk is even stroller friendly for bigger wheels. An umbrella stroller wouldn’t be able to do the little bit of sand and rocks on the trail but most other strollers could easily. I think you should definitely bring some form of a wagon or stroller for little legs!

No bathrooms and not dog friendly

There are unfortunately no bathrooms here. This spot seems geared towards locals as the parking is not large either, but I love small areas like this! We didn’t mind that there was not a bathroom. Downtown Biddeford is close enough you could pop into a gas station or store if you needed to on your way home.
